CUASA engages on an ongoing basis with government and operators to ensure that the interests of users are taken into account. CUASA responds on behalf of the user community to calls by the Ministry and ICASA, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, for input on subjects such as competition and market structure, convergence, Internet, empowerment, human resource development, universal service and access, and new technologies.

The business justification for joining and supporting CUASA is simple - what would even one percent of your annual telecommunications costs be worth to you? If we cannot make that much of a difference, then CUASA does not deserve your support.

What would it be worth to have an informed voice speaking on your behalf whenever communications is on the policy agenda? What would it be worth to be forewarned about impending changes that will have a direct business impact? What will it be worth not having to commit scarce and costly executive / specialist time in trying to keep up-to-date on new developments, and to influence policy making and legislation in the new Information Economy?
